Short of being in the hop fields themselves, Sydney's Inner West may have a case to be the best place in the country to get a taste of this year's hop harvest.
That's because ten of the area's brewers have requisitioned more than 100 kilograms of Victorian High Country hops, used them to create their own fresh hop beers, then teamed up with their near neighbours for a collective celebration of sorts.
Basically, all you need to do is head to any of the breweries listed below between April 24 and 28 and pick up one of the special fresh hop beer passports.
You then travel to each of the breweries, tasting fresh hop beers and getting stamps in your passport as you go. Once you've had them all, you can cash in your filled-in passport for a limited edition Inner West Brewers Hop Harvest t-shirt, designed by much-loved local artist Sindy Sinn.
