Liberty Alive

As producers of a form of social lubricant, small breweries have a knack for getting people together and helping bring a bit of life back to otherwise derelict parts of local communities. And so it is that the cultural connectors at Otherside Brewing have gotten behind a revitalisation project like few others.

Starting on November 17, the four-week Liberty Alive festival will see Perth's forgotten Liberty Theatre and its adjacent laneway burst back to life after a 25 year break to host an epic celebration of live music, art, local food, craft beer and fun.

It features a hefty programme of events, starting at 5pm every Thursday to Saturday, until December 10. Spanning three distinct spaces – Liberty Theatre, Liberty Laneway and Liberty Lounge – there'll be a proper mix of cultural bits and bobs to get stuck into, whatever you happen to be into.

Otherside will ensure the beer keeps flowing throughout, top food vendors will dish up the good stuff, local artists will get creative with street art, and DJs will be spinning their stuff. Then there's the live music which features the following...

Methyl Ethel’s Precent; BAD//DREEMS; Jaguar Jonze; Body Type; Mama Kin Spender with WAAPA Gospel Choir; Adrian; Dzvuke; Alter Boy; Anesu; Butter; Boox Kid; Drea; Flewnt; Ghost Care; Joan & the Giants; Kayps; Lonesome Dove; Luci; New Nausea; Old Bood; Oshua; Project Bexx; Siobhan Cotchin; The Velvet Club; South Summit; Ursula; Verge Collection; Woodcut; WA Badass Gospel Choir & more.

If you'd like to check it out, your best bet is to head directly to the festival website where you can peruse the daily lineups and grab tickets for any of the bands taking to the stage.
