Beer festivals these days are often about so much more than beer, and few demonstrate that quite as ably as Froth Town.
The festival formerly known as the Perth Craft Beer Festival returns to the Claremont Showgrounds on August 19 to 20, bringing with it *takes deep breath* live music, giant beer pong, sumo wrestling, a dad-bod wet t-shirt competition, silent disco, show rides, a barber shop, tattoo parlour, dodgem cars, bucking bull, hot dog eating competition, carnival games and live footy on the big screen.
But does that cover it? Hardly.
More than 75 breweries, distilleries, wineries and cider makers from across the land will be setting up kegtainer bars, cocktail pop-ups and and wine bars from which to pour their finest wares, including festival-only creations. And they've called in so many food trucks that their collective gathering probably constitutes a village.
Given there's genuinely something for everyone, all that remains is to pick a session and get your tickets sorted, and for that you've got three options:
- Session 1: F*YEAH FRIDAY (18+) – 5pm to 11pm
- Session 2: SATUR-DAY FOR IT (accompanied minors permitted) – 10am to 4pm
- Session 3: SUPER SATURDAY (18+) – 5pm to 11pm
