Pack your things and prepare to set sail on the good ship Wheaty, where a fascinating journey into local maritime history and the lore of booze at sea awaits!
In collaboration with the SA Maritime Museum, the Wheaty Brewing Corps has brewed ‘Clipper Shiploads Porter’, which they'll be launching at an event that goes deep into the history and relocation of the Clipper Ship to Adelaide, and its future home in the city.
Leading the cruise will be a motley but skilled crew of Mark Gilbert, director of the Clipper Ship City of Adelaide, SA Maritime Museum curator Dr Adam Paterson, 'microbiologist extraordinaire' Dr Paul Gooding and Captain Flavell of the WBC. Between them you'll hear many a tall tale of boats and booze.
It'll all come together nicely around a pint of Clipper Shiploads Porter, which they'll also have to takeaway in 500ml cans.
