This Thursday get along to the BentSpoke brewpub in Braddon where just a few weeks ago the local chapter of the Pinks Boots Society got together for their first ever Canberra brew day.
The result of their collaboration is Marion, an as-yet-unrevealed style of beer made with the Pink Boots Society Hop Blend.
In fact, apart from it being a beer brewed by a bunch of talented women from across the beer industry, all we really know about the beer is that it's been named Marion in honour of Marion Mahony Griffin, the architect who helped shape Canberra.
The beer will get its exclusive launch at the brewpub from about 4:30pm with a bit of a tasting and talking session. A percentage from the sales of Marion will go straight back to The Pink Boots Society to fund scholarships for members to help further their careers.
