The beer list is set. The epic video trailer has been cut. The date is locked in (then moved due to more COVID outbreaks). Now all that remains is to prepare yourself, for the ninth edition of The Scratch bar's annual Weekend of Darkness is upon us!
In what's one of the biggest events on their calendar, the weekend of July 23 to 25 will see the inimitable Milton bar pour 25 or more dark and delicious beers from all around the world.
Entry is free across the four feature sessions – as well as the bonus session affectionately known as Dregs Fest™:
- Session 1: Friday July 23, 6pm to late
- Session 2: Saturday July 24, midday to 6pm
- Session 3: Saturday July 24, 6.30pm to late
- Session 4: Sunday July 25, midday to 6pm
- DregsFest: Sunday July 25, 6.30pm to late
You'll probably want to keep an eye on the Scratch socials for the full reveal of the beer lineup, which may also help with your scheduling.
Note that COVID capacity restrictions, combined with ticket-free entry, are likely to lead to a bit of a wait at the door. So plan your trip well, bring a bag of patience and don't dither once you're done so that others get a chance to get in and share the love.
