Pink Boots Canberra Brew Day

Having already held several brew days around the country, the Pink Boots Society is getting the gang together for their very first ACT brew day.

Taking place on July 10 at BentSpoke Brewing in Braddon, you'll be able to join some of the legendary ladies of the local beer scene as they celebrate and promote the top work that women are doing within the beer industry – not to mention help brew some kick-ass beer.

As always, there'll be a special guest speaker and on this occasion it'll be Tara Nurin, a freelance journalist, writer, educator, broadcast professional and author of “A Woman's Place Is in the Brewhouse: A Forgotten History of Alewives, Brewster’s, Witches, and CEOs”.

As with any good day in the brewhouse, things start off nice and early (8am), with lunch and beers provided by BentSpoke. Knock-off will be around 2:30pm, at which point things should transition fairly seamlessly into drinks and networking.

While this is a members-only event, you're welcome to become one – just head here to book and for all the other important details. And remember to RSVP before July 4.
