Bells Beach's IPA takes its name from the Point Impossible surf break and sets crystal malts against a hefty dose of Galaxy, Wakatu and Motueka hops.
Despite the use of Southern Hemisphere hops it's a beer more reminiscent of the American IPAs that helped drive fresh interest in the style. The crystal malts give the IPA its cooper hue and a little caramel to taste, but the hops really lead the way here, first in the form of candied citrus, pineapple and pine before they lay down a broad and earthy bitterness.
