So, the accompanying artwork features a leggy black lady in leotard, complete with wild boar's head sat atop a tankard of beer that appears to have a dollop of ice cream in the top. Why, that must mean it's a Saisonâ?¦ Ummm... No, we weren't sure why either, but the good chaps at Feral have explained the thinking behind naming their latest draught-only Brewpub Series release after the singer who brought the world Milkshake. Apparently, just as her milkshake brought all the boys to the yard, so ' back in the day ' farmers who brewed Saison annually to lure farm labourers to come and work for them would boast about their brew being better than that of their neighbours. Or, to quote the brewery directly: "We know you want it, the beer that the workers go crazy for, they lose their minds, the way the spice, the way we brew, I think it's time." In other words, Feral is bringing its Saison back for the first time in a long time. Brewed using traditional methods, we're told the beer "boasts strong, spicy aromatics of clove, coriander and ginger, a silky mouthfeel with a dry bitter finish." They're also happy to proclaim themselves as Kelis fans too; we can just see them prancing around the chains on their weekly Short Shorts Friday (but we really wish we couldn'tâ?¦).
