Inspired by traditional methods but created using the more contemporary Philly sour yeast, this fruited sour ticks all the boxes for a beer designed to be thirst-quenching.
A Berliner weisse forms the base of this berry-infused sour, pouring a rich ruby hue with a dominant and persistent sweet berry aroma. Berry influence doesn’t stop at the aroma, however, with ripe, tart berry character firmly featuring across the palate, lasting well into a finish that displays a pleasant and moreish sweet and sour contrast. All this thanks to a 250kg addition of purée’d raspberry.
While drinkability is already high, the 3.5 percent ABV further enhances, pairing nicely with berry and balanced acid.
