Monster Menagerie VII – Beers of Blüdsbane.
Sounds like some kind of gore-ridden horror flick that’s also a tabletop board game. But it’s the name of the decadent black-and-red fest where Netherworld brought together dark and bloody beers from a bunch of willing victims… uh, breweries.
Tortuous Twins is the sacrifice from Helios Brewing. It splatters the colour of apricot nectar tinged with blood. The sweet fruits are the ropes that bind the wrists of the sourness, keeping it from running rampant. There’s a slowly spreading pool of berries and florals, mangled together beyond recognition; of the strawberry, guava, passionfruit, blackberry, and rosella, no one of them comes through without being smeared by the others. The sourness begins to twitch more and more violently as you keep drinking, breaking every natural and supernatural law.
The terrifying artwork of the twins – who are named Jezebel and Jasper, by the way – is by Lucy G Art and and, oh gosh, I just realised their eyes are metallic red. Thanks Lucy, I didn't need to sleep tonight or ever again.
