XPAs have become a frequent sight in brewery core ranges but there's no shortage of ways for brewery's to still bring their own spin to the style. Hopsters Cooperative Brewery have achieved that by making their core range beer, a particularly hazy affair.
But beyond the look, feel and flavour, it's worth tipping the hat to the brewery's name. Like any part of the Hopsters story, Griffo XPA wouldn't exist without the support of its memebers but Josh “Griffo” Griffiths (who's also known as Hopster #49) was particularly key to creating the brewery's taproom due to the time, energy and elbow grease he put into building the taproom. Fortunately, the beer is free from any actual grease and instead, it pours with substantial hazy and brings flavours of grapefruit, mango and a layer of zest.
