“I wanted to give the people of Byford a reason to stop drinking Carlton Dry without them knowing it,” is how head brewer Will Irving describes the thinking behind this delicious interloper, before adding that the style is “bastard German pilsnerish”.
FOUND.’s lager is the result of a series of bottom-fermented trials that’s birthed in a globally-inspired hybrid. German pilsner malt features with wheat, however it’s the rice addition which makes for a snappy finish that lifts the Noble Saaz and Perle hops floral notes as the grassy bitterness slakes your thirst.
Taking all of this on board, perhaps the CRISPY name says more than enough.
