Marrickville is one of Australia's most exciting suburbs for craft beer fans. Among the breweries bringing local beer to the locale is Sauce Brewing, where the team is looking for someone to manage their taproom and help organise events.

Job Description: Venue & Events Manager

Sauce Brewing Co is one of Australia’s most exciting new craft breweries. Our brewery is in the heart of Australia’s craft-beer capital – Marrickville in Sydney’s inner-west. 

We are a small team of passionate people, producing some of the best beers (we think) this side of Pluto. Attached to the brewery is an impressive taproom and beer garden which is popular with locals and tourists alike.

We are looking for an experienced venue manager to take ownership of the taproom and to ensure it continues to shine as one of the jewels in our crown. 

As part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture, the successful candidate will be organised, self-motivated and driven.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key person responsibility for taproom operations
  • Ensure high standards of presentation, hygiene and customer experience
  • Coordinate and prepare for events including inhouse events, festivals and tastings
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as licensing
  • Hire, train, roster, manage taproom & event staff
  • Facilitate web/phone orders shipping from the brewery
  • Facilitate promotions and loyalty programs
  • Social media management – venue and events related
  • Coordinate food options including food trucks and other partners
  • Stock management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Several years managing a busy licensed venue
  • NSW RSA
  • Licensed venue management qualification favourable
  • Cicerone certification favourable
  • Experience at craft beer venue(s) desirable
  • Point of sale and stock management systems
  • Friendly and knowledgeable when dealing with customers
  • Organised and attention to detail

This is a full-time position including weekends.
