From its home in Fortitude Valley, Bloodhound Bar has become a champion of live music and good beer.
Now, the team behind the bar is looking for a craft beer lover to become their new venue manager. Here's what you need to know about the role.
Job Description: Venue Manager
At Bloodhound Bar, we pride ourselves on being a great craft beer, cocktail and live music bar, with a very strong focus on genuine customer service and customer retention. We're a bar for locals as well as a destination for the Friday and Saturday valley crowds.
Who are we looking for?
- You’ll be a natural with people, remembering names, pints and stories.
- You'll have charm and genuine kindness, the building blocks of real, authentic hospitality.
- You’ll be the person that the punters look forward to seeing on the other side of the bar, creating a fun atmosphere with your personality and great chat.
- You’ll help people new to craft beer find their mojo and also help beer nerds reach beervana by attending to their needs.
- You'll have strong, proven leadership skills, a keen eye for the numbers behind-the-scene that make a bar successful (GP%, Wage costs, etc) and an intuitive feel for social media and how to make it work within the hospitality industry.
- You'll work closely with local suppliers to maximise win/win situations for them and us.
- You'll help come up with strategies to further increase Bloodhound Bar's status within the Brissie Bar and Restaurant scene.
- You'll need to be passionate about craft beer and the industry, as we host a whole bunch of amazing beer-related events.
Experience in running live music gigs, and knowledge of the local and Australian live music scene would be advantageous but not essential.
Previous experience working in a similar role will be highly regarded! A current RMLV will also be highly regarded, though not a must.
