St Andrews Beach Brewery have turned a former horse training facility into an expansive local brewery for the Mornington Peninsula.

Job Description: Brewer

St Andrews Beach Brewery calls a 92-acre property on the Mornington Peninsula home. We have created a brewery that is totally unique. What was once a world class horse training facility has been transformed into a remarkable local brewery and beer garden.

Our motivation is simple: we love making great beer at our Mornington Peninsula home. But we are not your average Brewery.

We will continue to make great beer, serve delicious food and provide visitors to the Peninsula with an experience to remember. We also maintain a strong commitment to sustainability and protecting the integrity of our home.

WHAT WE NEED

We are searching for an experienced Brewer for our amazing Peninsula Brewery. Working alongside the Head Brewer, you’ll be charged with continuing the tradition of making amazing Beer for our customers.

THE ROLE 

We are seeking an experienced brewer who has:

  • A passion for craft beer
  • Brewing or relevant qualifications
  • Proven time management and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail with a problem-solving attitude
  • Mechanical and technological skills
  • Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and occasional weekend work
  • And strive toward innovation and continual improvement

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Grain milling
  • Fermentation management
  • Wort production
  • Filtration
  • Washing, cleaning and filling kegs
  • Brewery and equipment cleaning
  • Brew day packaging and pack down
  • Inventory and stock control
  • Following and practising brewery safety procedures

THINGS YOU ARE

A passionate and hard-working team member, who takes great pride in making the finest possible product. We are looking for someone who prioritises safety at all times and promotes that culture in the wider team. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous commercial brewing or relevant brewing experience
  • A demonstrated safety-first approach
  • A Victorian RSA certification
  • Strong communication, with collaboration and leadership skills
  • A current Forklift licence
  • A strong work ethic and passion for quality and our brands
