Job Title: Head Brewer
Overview: We’re looking for a go-getter, someone who owns their work and thrives on independence, to join our lively and freshly rebranded brewery as the Head Brewer. This crucial role isn't just about crafting beers; it's about crafting your schedule too, all while enjoying flexi-hours. Jump into this thrilling phase of brewery growth where your commitment is the secret ingredient to our success. With recent strides into canning and wholesale, we've amped up production and local sales. Your role is at the heart of keeping this success train rolling while we stay true to top-notch quality in our chill coastal spot.
Responsibilities:
- Brewing: Execute the brewing process from start to finish (Brewing, Fermentation, Packaging), ensuring consistency and quality in every batch.
- Inventory and Logistics: Manage inventory levels, order raw materials, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain a seamless production flow.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with the hospitality team to align production with demand, contributing to a harmonious and efficient workflow.
- Local Partnerships: Keep our local customers stocked up and happy by managing product supply and delivery. Our community's got our back, and we've got theirs!
- Production: Lead the charge in boosting brewery production post-rebranding. We've set our sights on upping our annual output from 300hL to 500hL while maintaining a balance for smooth operations as we embark on this new brewing adventure.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a similar brewery role.
- Strong time management skills, task planning and actioning.
- Self-driven and capable of structuring independent working week.
- Creativity is a bonus, but a dedication to uncompromising quality is key.
- Ability to perform physical tasks i.e. lifting bags of malt, stacking cartons on pallets.
- No need for a leadership hat; you'll be the main production player, but teamwork's still your jam.
