A Bellini-themed Berliner weisse called Berlini? Ha. Clever.
Prosecco and peach nectar make up the original Bellini cocktail, if you weren’t aware. And since Berliner weisse has the nickname Champagne of the north, this combo makes all kinds of sense.
The sourness is a gentle addition to the oodles of peach in this beer. Berlini offers up hee-yuge fresh juicy peach flesh on the nose, and hee-yuge syrupy tinned peaches in the mouth. Obviously, they’re the same fruit, but it still felt a little surprising getting two different kinds of peach flavour in the one beer. Actually, that fresh-fruit-peach-skin-bite is right in there as well, so make that three kinds of peach flavour.
