Barely a week seems to go by without the Stone & Wood army expanding. And this week is no different, with the latest shout out for experienced brewers to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION: EXPERIENCED BREWERS
Stone & Wood is an Australian success story in the emerging international beer market. After humble beginnings in 2008 our range of beers, led by the flagship Pacific Ale, has ignited consumer interest in the marketplace to a point where we are now operating two breweries to meet demand. The original brewery at Byron Bay has been re-configured to provide capability for short run production, whilst the recently commissioned brewery at nearby Murwillumbah is capable of being scaled up as demand continues to grow.
Stone & Wood have not only created a great brand and a highly respected business, but we are also building a strong and unique culture. Based on the fabulous lifestyle on offer at Byron Bay and the surrounding Northern Rivers of NSW, our culture is one of "taking it slow, and keeping it simple".
We are seeking an experienced passionate brewer who will take pride in every detail that goes into our quality product – from the grain we use, to the final taste. The right candidate will have a deep knowledge and interest in the technical and practical aspects of brewing and will enjoy sharing their experience and knowledge with our accomplished brewing team.
The role will be based around a 7-day operating roster, working with a 50 HI DME Brewhouse in our purpose built Murwillumbah brewery set on vast land in the foothills of Mt Warning.
You must have a minimum IBD certificate (or equivalent), know your way around a lab, can work under pressure and are adept at meeting production targets.
We need someone who can play an active role in the further development of the workplace culture, and continue to grow with the company.
Ultimately, you will be a team player who can harness the energy and enthusiasm of a highly committed team to maintain Stone & Wood's position as one of Australia's foremost emerging breweries.
