The Public Brewery in Croydon is more than just a brewery. Within its home, you'll also find a bar, restaurant, bottleshop and a collection of miniature brewhouses where guests can brew their own beer.

Right now, they're after someone to run the brew on premise side of the business.

Job Description – Brew on Premise Supervisor

The Public Brewery, located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, is looking for a passionate beer enthusiast to join our team in the Brew on Premise department. The Brew on Premise team helps customers brew their own 50l batches of beer focussing on craft styles of beer and exploring a variety of ingredients.

This is a customer service focused role, where you will get to share your passion for beer with customers in a hospitality based environment. As well as delivering entertaining and educational brewing sessions, you will also be responsible for managing booking responses and follow up communications regarding later bottling sessions.

Training will be provided to the right candidate to ensure that you are set up for success and you will have an opportunity to improve current processes.

While this role is primarily focussed on brew on premise related activities, there will also be the opportunity to work within the brewing team to assist broader business objectives.

Skills and key qualifications required by the role:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – this is a customer facing role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work across multiple tasks at once
  • A keen attention to detail in all areas, with the ability to problem solve and work creatively
  • Able to work both independently without supervision as well as part of a fast moving team
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Home brewing experience highly desirable, but we can fill in the gaps if you don’t!

This is a permanent, full-time role typically Wednesday to Sunday. Your application should include a cover letter detailing how your prior experience will be relevant at The Public Brewery, as well as an up to date CV.

A salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant, based on experience, qualification and skill. This role is available as an immediate start for the right candidate.

Please send your application to Brendan@thepublicbrewery.com.au by no later than the June 27, 2018.
