Craft beer continues to spread its tentacles further and further outside the main centres. Soon, one of Queensland's most popular tourist spots, Port Douglas, will be home to Hemingway's Brewery.
The owners are after a beer guru to help run it, filling a role that will incorporate working in the bar, running events and helping the brewer too.
JOB DESCRIPTION: CRAFT BEER GURU
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about craft brews for an interesting and varied role at Hemingway’s Brewery, The Reef Marina, Port Douglas.
We are after a motivated staff member with superb attention to detail, excellent communication skills, great work ethic and a passion for craft beer and brewing and who perhaps enjoys spinning a yarn or two.
Your role will require you to work both in the brewery to assist our brewer as well as times behind the bar or in front of house. You will become knowledgeable about our beers and the brewing process and should already possess a good knowledge of other craft beers on the market.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Bar & Front of House duties
- Brewery tours
- Brewery hand
- Event assistance

- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently
- The ability to show initiative
- To have a strong work ethic
- Beard and / or tatts are optional
