When you're growing as fast as Melbourne's Hawkers Beer, there's no time to sit still. The latest staff requirements are for four people to join their night packaging crew.
If you're a night owl, there's one full time and three casual positions up for grabs and they're looking to fill them quickly.
JOB DESCRIPTION: PACKAGING NIGHT CREW
There's not enough hours in the day to package all the beer we're brewing at Hawkers Beer, so we're looking to take on additional night staff.
The purposes of the night packaging crew is to cover the operation of bottling and kegging lines between 10pm and 6am, five days a week.
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Operate, maintain and clean bottling and kegging lines
- Meet tight production deadlines
- Accurately record production logs and losses
- Perform and record at-line QC checks
- CIP and manage product changes in an efficient manner
For the team leader position there is also the requirement to manage a packaging crew of three, including some scheduling, training and mentoring.
Work experience and skills:
- Previous experience in beer packaging highly regarded
- Previous manufacturing experience in medium/high volume FMCG goods, food and beverage or automotive industries.
- Mechanically minded, with practical mechanical/fitting experience a big plus
- Resilience and flexibility to meet competing and changing deadlines
- Highly organised
- Previous team leadership experience (Shift leader position)
- Experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing programs a plus.
Academic or trade qualifications:
- Hold a current Victorian florktruck licence
- IBD packaging modules or other beer or packaging qualification looked on very favourably.
Salary commensurate with experience. All roles report to the head brewer / packaging manager.
