Take the reins at Melbourne's Crafty Squire

Posted May 26, 2016

This posting is more than 1 year old

If FC Barcelona is mes que un club, the The Crafty Squire is mes que un pub*. The former Portland Hotel is home to an on-site brewery and, following an extensive refit and expansion last year, is a huge, two-storey multi-faceted venue.

It's a great gateway venue for people new to craft beer, mixing the full James Squire range with its in-house brews (regulars and one-offs), and also home to various bars, restaurants and a rooftop terrace – not to mention big crowds for major sporting events.

It won the 2016 Time Out Melbourne Pub Awards Revival title too and, after many years at the helm, the man responsible for running it – and putting on a range of beer events – is moving on to a new role in the group.

So, if you're a venue manager up for a challenge and reckon you can fill Joe's shoes, this is for you.
