Feral-1 Since The Crafty Pint started out in business, there has been one constant: Swan Valley’s Feral always wins the Champion Brewery of Australia title.

A fair number of its beers pick up trophies too.

And now that the beers are flowing at full speed through their BrewCorp facility shared with Nail, more and more people are discovering just what’s so good about their brews.

Job Description: Experienced Brewer

Summary
Feral Brewing Co is currently looking to add an experienced brewer to our small production team. The successful applicant will have at least two years’ experience in brewing, packaging and cellar operations at a commercial brewery and, as importantly, will have a passion and pride in making beer of the highest possible quality. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Competently operates brewhouse equipment to process brews according to our SOPs, including, but not limited to the items below:
 


Brewhouse operations:   Milling, Mashing, Lautering, Boiling, Whirlpooling, Knockout, Grains out, Brewhouse Vessel CIP (inc Heat Exchanger and Hot Liquor Heat Exchanger)
 


Cellar-Related operations:   Fermenter CIP/Scrub/Sanitation, Checking Gravities/pH/Monitoring fermentation(Incl. Glycol Controls), Capping/ Chilling/ Dryhopping schedule and procedures, Yeast Disposal, BBT Cleaning and Sanitizing, Recording fermentations, Reading BBT levels and recording, Checking DO and Co2 in beer
 


Packaging operations:   Carbonation of beer, Filtering, Cleaning/sanitizing/maintaining filler and labeller, Cleaning and filling kegs Checking CO2 in beer
 
Quality Assurance Operations: pH measurement, Gravity Measurements, DO Measurements, Process Sampling, Yeast Viability Measurement, Taste Panel
 


Other:
Effluent processing as it relates to the above operations, General Cleaning and organizing of the production areas Adhering to existing and helping to develop and improve OH&S practices

Education and/or Experience
IBD diploma or equivalent favored but not essential

Physical demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; climb; use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb steps and  hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 kilograms. 

Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Job Description: Feral Brewery Representative for Victoria

Feral Brewing Co has established itself as one of Australia’s leading craft breweries with a focus on producing fresh beer for the local Australian market. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven person to join our small team in representing Feral Brewing Co in Victoria.

The role will report to the National Sales and Marketing Manager to build both the On and Off Premise trade in the respective state. To be successful you will need to be a self-motivated, creative and have a good understanding of the beverage industry. We are not looking for a used car salesman, but someone to build, represent and communicate our passion for great tasting Australian craft beer.
