As the number of breweries across Australia continues to rise, so does the demand for brewers.
Latest to cast their net far and wide for a head brewer is New England.
The brewery near Armidale in the New England region of NSW opened its doors in April 2013 and, having made great progress securing taps in the region is looking for a head brewer to take it to the next level.

Brewer: New England Brewing Company
New England Brewing Co. (NEB Co.) is located in Uralla, in the beautiful New England Region of NSW. Weâre only a 15 minute drive from Armidale and on the craft beer frontier. Weâve been converting drinkers since opening in April 2013 and work hard to get great beer throughout our region.
With a growing number of permanent taps, we now need a qualified brewer to take us to a new level. Equipment upgrades and new beer releases over the next 12-18 months will make this a challenging and rewarding role.
Key skills and qualifications:
- Commercial brewing experience
- Completed or studying for a brewing degree or related degree
- Strong knowledge of beer styles
- Proven recipe development experience
- Excellent understanding of sanitisation processes
- Experience with packaged beer
- Highly motivated with a super strong work ethic
- Highly organised with an ability to keep accurate brewery records
Desirables:
- Keen to spruik your brews and represent the brewery at the brewery door and craft beer events
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Experience sourcing and installing brewing equipment
- Relocation allowance following a probation period and a salary including bonuses will be negotiated based on experience. The position is full-time, however, enquiries from highly qualified persons on a part-time basis will be considered.
