A new brewery is set to open in the Victorian Alps.
The man behind Blizzard Brewing Company is looking for a head brewer to help launch and run the brewery and design and brew its beers.
JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD BREWER

THE APPLICANT
- Demonstrated track record of achievement and capability in craft brewing
- Relevant brewing and management experience
- Passionate about both the craft and the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a greenfield project and make an immediate impact on its success
- Motivated, self-starter, problem solver, adept at managing staff and resources, minimal need to be managed
- Confident, experienced and professional – able to take control in a scenario with no precedents
- Flexible, genial and hands-on
- Attention to detail, meticulous about quality and thorough with processes
- Enthusiastic about the location and excited to live and work in a special but remote part of Australia
THE JOB
Oversee the entire brewing operation:
- Participate in brew plant set up and commissioning
- Operational management
- Production Management
- Operating procedures development and implementation
- Procurement
- Quality Control
- Record keeping / excise management
- Product and Recipe Development
Manage brew house staff:
- Apprentice brewer
- Packaging staff
- Delivery staff
Participate in general management:
- Help set the vision, direction and culture of the organisation
- Be involved in label design and social media opportunities
- Participate in conducting brewery tours and hosting tasting events
