Job Description: Procurement & Logistics Manager (Geebung)
An exciting opportunity exists to join the award winning Green Beacon team in a full time role as Procurement & Logistics Manager, based at the Geebung production facility.
Reporting to our Operations Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate the procurement of all raw materials and packaging required to meet our production needs. The role is also responsible for ensuring finished goods are delivered on time in full to our QLD warehouse.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Procurement of all raw materials and packaging materials
- Management of stock levels of all raw materials and packaging to ensure just in time process is met
- Handling warehouse inventory
- Management of warehouse staff
- Ensuring warehouse OHS requirements are met
- Managing relationship with Asahi distribution centre
- Managing 3PL relationships in QLD
- Liaising with warehouse operator and production crew to ensure stock availability and correct preparation for transport
Desired qualifications:
- Tertiary education in related field an advantage
Relevant Experience
- 1 - 3 years experience in logistics / procurement an advantage
Skills and personal attributes
- Assertive and analytical – process driven
- Strong planning skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with several stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve and lead others
- Good understanding of the principles and practices of a safe working environment
