Job Description: Junior Brewer/Cellar Hand position
Lucky Bay Brewing is located in Esperance, Western Australia, a hub of grain production for the south eastern part of WA with pristine beaches and amazing natural environment. Lucky Bay Brewing is well known for its utilisation of farm-direct grain which brings uniqueness to our beers with an undisputable genuine local link. This level of authenticity flows the full length of the operation from on farm grain collection right through to the glass of beer at our cellar door premises or cans offered at retail outlets.
Lucky Bay Brewing in Esperance Western Australia is seeking a Junior brewer/Cellar hand to work with our head brewer.
Qualifications & experience
Applicants would need at minimum some all grain home brew experience, however commercial brewery experience would be preferred.
Technical qualifications in brewing are not essential, however would be a desirable feature for applicants.
Above all a keen work ethic and a curiosity to learn supported by an eye for detail will be the key selection criteria. We are prepared to hire for enthusiasm and train for skill.
Tasks & responsibilities
Tasks for this role would be:
- Preparing grains for brews
- Brew day assistance,
- Tank cleaning and transfer,
- Keg cleaning and filling,
- Canning line operation and package beer dispatch,
- Occasional bar work and general maintenance would also feature.
- Loads of cleaning.
The position is based in Esperance WA which is 750km south east of Perth. Relocation to a regional location such as this does add a level of commitment to the role and this will need to be openly discussed.
