Although it sometimes seems like every locale has its own beer festival, it's not true. For example, Torquay never had one. Well, until now that is. And boy are they breaking the drought with a belter.
On August 17 the Point Break Brewery Invitational will take place at Blackman's Brewery, with nine of their favourite brewers from home and abroad having been invited to brew and bring a special beer, plus an old favourite, for a top notch day of beer drinking.
Here's who's turning up for the party:
- Behemoth Brewing (NZ)
- Forest Road Brewery (UK)
- Firestone Walker Brewing (USA)
- Sailors Grave Brewing (VIC)
- Bridge Road Brewers (VIC)
- Noodledoof Brewing (VIC)
- Goodland Brewing (VIC)
- Hop Nation Brewing (VIC)
- Range Brewing (QLD)
Your ticket includes beer for the entire day, which is 20 x 125ml tastes of each beer in your festival glass (which you also get to keep).
They'll have live tunes all afternoon, plus wine and seltzers if you're more into that scene or just need a palate refresher.
Early Bird tickets are just $70 and are available until June 30, then standard tickets will be available thereafter for $85.
