Imperial Stout fans rejoice, for it's that precious time of year where the nights are longest and Red Hill release a host of dark treats to warm you through the winter.
Taking place at the brewery on the weekend of July 6-7, their Smokin' Solstice event will see the launch of the 2024 Red Hill Imperial Stout, as well as giving you a chance to try some back vintages of this reliably excellent beer. Alongside a bunch of other dark beers, they're using the opportunity to launch a companion Pancho Mole Imperial Stout and a mulled mead, which is a cellared mead made with local honey, and served warm.
The weekend has a fire and blues theme, with Saturday being the main day for celebrating the new beers, and live acoustic music on Sunday from Charlie Owen; the set will start on the deck just after lunch.
But you're welcome to head in any time over the weekend, fill your cup, take a seat by the fire, and be utterly content in one of life's simple pleasures.
