The much-loved winter warmer that is Stone & Wood's Festival of the Stone is back for 2023, ushering in a big ol' celebration of beer, music, food and community.
Held in the brewery's original home in Byron on June 3, the festival marks the release of the annual Stone Beer, with the 2023 version pouring here for the first time.
There'll be a big lineup of musical acts, with the likes of The Beautiful Girls, Crocodiles, Bullhorn, Billy Otto, Smokey Cake, Dan Muz, Mase, Reiflex, Club Raiders and Cashew playing across two stages.
They're also opening up the first set of the day to one lucky emerging local band/musician. To nail that coveted spot, head to the S&W website to read the details and submit a sample of your work before April 27.
It's a family-friendly event, with the famous 'Malt Disney' children's area occupying the little ones with arts and crafts and games while you do the stuff you wanna do.
As ever, this is an event that's set to benefit a local charity, and in this case it's the Fletcher Street Cottage – a community service providing meals, showers, laundry, advocacy and support to Byron’s homeless community – that'll be getting proceeds from ticket sales and raffles on the day.
