If ever you needed a reason to start exploring or, ahem, enhance your knowledge in the field of barrel-aged beers, you'll find a few dozen of them at Carwyn Cellars.
From June 17 to 26, the Thornbury bar will be pouring a dream list of barrel-aged beers from local brewing legends and international superstars, ranging from big and bold stouts to delicate and complex wild ales – not to mention a few rare treats from their well-appointed cellar.
And in a rather thoughtful touch, they're also pairing each beer to a specific barrel-aged spirit for a boilermaker bonanza.
