Oktoberfest at Indian Ocean Brewing

Oktoberfest at Indian Ocean Brewing

Through the lens of a traditional Oktoberfest celebration, the Mindarie Marina may be rather far removed from the landlocked beer halls of Munich, but is that really anything worth complaining about? Once you're sat down with a large beer in hand and that view, we'd wager not...

So, it's settled. You'll be at Indian Ocean Brewing on October 2-3 to help them host their very first Oktoberfest – two afternoons of beer, lederhosen, live music, food and games.

On tap they'll have a bunch of stone cold classics from the eldest statesman of the beer world, Weihenstephan (specifically in the form of their Hefe Weissbier, Pils and Festibier) as well as Indi's own Dunkel dark lager. To accompany that they'll be serving up some traditional German fare in the form of bratwurst, pretzels, and pork knuckle.

Slightly less traditional will be the bratwurst-eating competition, the grown-up hilarity of "dunk the weiner", corn hole and more.

Tickets are just $29 which gets you a stein filled with Indi Dunkel, a bratwurst or pretzel, discounted beer throughout the day, plus an afternoon's worth of entertainment.
