Christmas In July at Prince Alfred Port Melbourne

Decisions, decisions... On one hand we have a contender for the ultimate feel-good festive rom-com. On the other, arguably the world's worst corporate Christmas party. Yes, it's Christmas in July which means we're due a robust and very public argument about which is the better Christmas film: Love Actually or Die Hard.

To help you along on this great debate, the team at Prince Alfred Port Melbourne are setting up a Sunday afternoon showdown full of films and feasting that'll leave you feeling like it's December 25.

  • The Love Actually package ($35) comes with a two course Christmas lunch, including roast meat done two ways, plus all the trimmings and a scrumptious dessert
  • The Die Hard package ($75) has the same basics as the above, but with plenty more action in the form of a glass of bubbles on arrival, some house-made mulled wine, a glass of beer or wine, and a cocktail.

Note: Vegetarian options are also available

The movies will be screening throughout the afternoon, with meals available from midday until sold out, so you'd be advised to make a booking in order to avoid disappointment – just choose your preferred experience when you make a booking through OpenTable.

And if you hate both films, don't fret – they'll be screening the footy too
