Ballistic are celebrating the winter solstice with the launch of no less than four new dark beers to be tapped at their five venues across Queensland.
Pitch Black kicks off at 6pm, with each venue adding their own twist to the occasion, but all pouring the following new beers...
- Pitch Black Brown Ale: A cheeky little malty number that could be straight from the boroughs of London. Showcasing malt derived dominant nutty and toffee notes that are balanced by yeast driven overripe fruity esters.
- Pitch Black Choc Milk Stout: Decadent layers of chocolate and vanilla balanced with additions of sweet lactose give a smooth and creamy taste. Add a subtle bitterness from English hops and roasted malts and you get a delicious Milk Chocolate Stout.
- Pitch Black Dark Lager: Subtropical dark lager. Sublime flavours of toasted malt, subtle caramel, dark fruit and peppery noble hops.
- Pitch Black Brown Porter: Aged in ex-whiskey and red wine barrels to deliver an insanely complex powerful beer. Showcasing intricate malt flavours of chocolate, burnt toast, charred toffee, raisins and vanilla that are intimately woven over a luscious full body and assertive bitterness.
As for what's on at each venue, you can look forward to a glow party in Salisbury featuring UV face painting, movies for the kids, food trucks and new beers, black sliders, live music and a special Pitch Black Porter & Cream Espresso Martini in Bargara, a jumping castle and glowsticks for the kids in Salisbury, live music, a food truck and fire twirlers at Ballistic Whitsundays, and all the dark beers at Ballistic West End from 6pm.
