The Venn diagrams of old school sporting charm, modern inner-city tastes and total bliss are set to overlap again at Henson Park as the Marrickville institution hosts the 2021 edition of the Beer Footy & Food Festival. 

Taking place on two dates – July 24 and August 7 – you'll be treated to a sadly unique stadium experience – sad, because they should all be more like this: sat on picnic blanket on a grassy hill watching footy, beautifully brewed beer in hand, natural wines in the basket, your pick of the Inner West's local food vendors, and loads of activities to take the kids out of the equation for a few hours. 

In all there'll be 30 different East Coast breweries (see below) pouring their wares, PnV Wines will be sorting out the grape juice, and a full fleet of food trucks will be cooking up a storm. 

On the field, local heroes the Newtown Jets will be taking on the Western Suburbs Magpies (July 24) and the South Sydney Rabbitohs (August 7). 

If you can keep 'em off the pitch, the kiddies will be able to indulge in jumping castles, a petting zoo and more to be announced. 

And, of course, they'll be doing what needs to be done to ensure the event is COVID safe.
