Pint of Origin has been The Crafty Pint’s corner of Good Beer Week since 2012.
It’s there to showcase the best beers from Australia and the rest of the world, with bars and pubs across Melbourne welcoming scores of brewers through their doors too.
As well as weeklong tap takeovers, venues are celebrating with a bunch of pop-up events and here's what's on the agenda for Wednesday, May 19:
- The Terminus. One Night Keg Stand. Ten breweries will be showcasing their best beers with one keg from each brewery, all tapped at once making for one hell of a party!
- Miss Moses. Gluten-Free Pint & Parma Night. The bar is going fully gluten free in the kitchen and running a gluten-free parma and pint deal for $22. Wild Polly are supplying two beers on tap for the event, with doors open from midday and the kitchen running from 4pm.
- The Cherry Tree. The Brewin Transfer. Craft breweries go head to head producing beer ads for diverse audiences. Featuring a panel of local advertising luminaries and social commentators.
- The Palace. Meet Some Heaps Good Brewers. Head in from 6pm until 8pm to have a chat with some visiting South Australian brewers.
- Carwyn Cellars. Noble Ale Works Australian Launch. The Thornbury haunt has flown in some of the most exciting drops from the award-winning Southern California brewery.
