Beer or wine? Um... yes, please!
The picturesque Hunter Valley Wine Festival is broadening its brushstrokes and including beer for the first time as a headlining act, in the process officially becoming the Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival.
Set for Saturday, June 19, at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, the festival promises the best from more than 40 Hunter Valley wineries and breweries, loads of local food and entertainment.
The on-site Sydney Brewery Hunter Valley will be playing a prominent role throughout the day, offering behind-the-scenes tours and beer and cider tastings. They're joined by fellow brewers from the likes of Shout Brewing, Ironbark Hill and Six String.
Being a family-friendly event, kids will get in free and be able to enjoy a jumping castle, train rides, carousel, petting zoo and face painting. And, as ever, the festival will be supporting the local Rural Fire Service, with fundraising activities on the day.
In order to accomodate the ultimate gatecrasher, old mate COVID, the festival will be split into two sessions: 11am to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm.
Early bird tickets cost just $15pp, or $25 if you leave it late and decide to try your luck a the gate on the day.
