It's a little over a hundred years since Remembrance Day was first observed, and although the state of the world may have changed considerably (although perhaps that feels slightly less so in 2020...) the thread that's bound the day through history remains a poignant one.
This year, for their part, Stone & Wood has teamed up with Legacy Brisbane to host a couple of fundraising feasts at their Brisbane taproom.
You'll get to enjoy the specially brewed pilot batch beer, Legacy Lager – a red lager inspired by the iconic red poppy and Brisbane brewer Mick Barnes's time spent serving in the Australian army – along with a three course meal, live music, raffles and being part of a collective act of remembrance.
There are two options to choose from – lunch or dinner – both of which will be taking place on November 11:
- Legacy Luncheon: 12–4pm – Buy tickets
- Legacy Dinner: 6–10pm – Buy tickets
All proceeds from both events will be directed to Legacy Brisbane via the inGrained Foundation, Stone & Wood's national not-for-profit branch.
