Indulge in a dose of delicious cultural appropriation as Frenchies hosts its annual Oktoberfest event with a feast of fine food and very large glasses of beer.
Running on October 31 and November 1, the brewery/bistro will be going full German deli and serving up würst, schnitzel, crispy pork belly, fresh pretztels, kaiserschmarrn and more. To wash that down, they'll be pouring one litre steins of their hefeweizen, a new Vienna lager and other dependable Euro-style classics (think Pilsner, Kölsch, et al).
And to make life rather more fun and interesting, your live entertainment will be directed by a drag queen and there'll be games galore – try nail hammering, beer pong and the Uni-classic stein race – all of which promises to be rather amusing regardless of whether or not you fancy participating.
Now, entry is free but bookings are essential and they're limited to specific three hour sessions, as follows:
October 31:
- 12pm–3pm
- 3pm–6pm
- 6pm–9pm
November 1:
- 11:30am–2:30pm
- 2:30pm–5:30pm
