The Beeries 2019 (QLD)

The Beeries is an awards night with a difference. While most focus on celebrating the liquid and those that make it, here it's all about the wider beer community in South East Queensland.

The annual affair – now in its third year – sees gongs awarded in categories such as Best Beer Tender, Best Beer/Cider Rep, Best New Venue and Best Beer List – plus there's a "Gold Beerie" for Best Community Contributor.

It culminates in an awards night that's equal parts schmick and rowdy on September 19 at the Royal International Convention Centre, Bowen Hills.

This year's guest speaker is Adrian Slaughter, co-founder of Green Beacon, who will talk about the brewery's story to date from opening their Teneriffe brewpub in 2013 to the recent sale to Asahi.

You can cast your votes for the 2019 Beeries here. Deadline day to vote is September 9, 2019.

And you can snap up tickets for the event here

They cost $135pp (or $125 if bought in blocks of eight or more) and cover pre-dinner canapés, dinner, drinks through the night and live music.

The Beeries herald the arrival of Beer InCider – more on that here.
