The Beeries is an awards night with a difference.
While most award competitions in the beer world focus on blind judging beers, here it's the wider beer community in South East Queensland that is celebrated.
The awards, which launched in 2017, take place on the evening before the Beer InCider Experience and profits from the night are donated to the following year's Brewsvegas beer week.
And, again unlike most other beer competitions, other than the Special Achievement award judged by a panel, all other trophies are up for public vote.
The categories in 2018 are:
- Best Beertender
- Best Brewery/Cider Rep
- Best Beer & Cider Retailer
- Best Cider Maker
- Best Brewer
- Best New Brewery (opened after January 1, 2017)
- Gold Beery For Best Community Contributor
You can vote for your favourites here.
Tickets for the night cost $135pp and include welcome drinks and canapes, a delicious two-course dinner, drinks package, live music by Suga Owens and more.
The Beeries are hosted by ABC Radio's Rebecca Levingston, who will be chatting to Crafty Pint founder James Smith as part of the night.
