Now in its sixth year, the Weekend of Darkness is The Scratch's tribute to the beer world's darkest and most ungodly brews.
From Friday night until Sunday evening, Scratch's taps will be pouring all manner of black brews: dark ales, porters, stouts, barrel aged, infused, imperial, sweet, dry, roasty, salty, smoky, but dark... always dark.
The free, non-ticketed event aims to beguile the beer nerd, and perhaps tempt the beer curious over to the dark side, with more than 30 beer, local and international, pouring over the weekend.
There will also be specialty launches from the likes of Newstead and Brewtal Brewing, plus some collaborations between the bar and local breweries.
Add in Netherworld’s Hellmouth Diner running a pop up kitchen to fill your bellies with hearty treats and keep your head above water and you've got quite the weekend.
