Sydney Beer Week with the Good Beer Company

The team behind crafty Sydney venues Keg & Brew and The DOG Hotel has lined up some heavyweight events for this year's Sydney Beer Week.

The Keg & Brew will be making the most of its banks of taps with the 24 Tri-Nation Tap Takeover, which sees them line the Surry Hills venue with beers from across Australia, America and the UK. Look out for the likes of Sierra Nevada, BrewDog, Stone Brewing and many more.

Beers hitting taps will include X, a collaboration brew created by Mornington Peninsula and Bucket Boys for the occasion, while guests can also try their hand at the "Tap of Fortune" – spin the wheel to determine whether your next drink will be a Lemon Meringue Gose or a Reschs.

Over at The DOG Hotel, they'll be putting the 59 taps and multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to full use. On October 21, you're invited to join them for Game Meats Beer – a five-course dinner hosted by Feral Brewing based around game meats and the WA brewery's award-winning beers – expect dishes like Fried Crocodile Spring Rolls with a Lobster Bisque paired with Hop Hog.

Bookings Are Essential – Make Yours Here!

The DOG is also hosting the Aus vs NZ Showdown: Weeklong Tap Takeover. This features 16 taps pouring the best in local craft beer from either side of the pond, with NZ represented by the likes of the Yeastie Boys, Garage Project and Deep Creek and a new collab brew with Sydney Brewery, the SheepDOG XPA, also launching.

Sydney Beer Week attendees will also have the chance to try beer poured off the venue's new Randall, a double chamber filter fitted by Mountain Goat that's designed to infuse beer with new ingredients before it hits the tap.

They've also confirmed an event featuring Sierra Nevada Ambassador Steve Grossman that came together too late for the Sydney Beer Week program – check it out here.

The DOG is at 2 St Marks Rd, Randwick; Keg & Brew is at 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills.

Sydney Beer Week runs from October 20 to 29, 2017.
