The good beer from Good Land Brewing for the good people of Gippsland keeps coming, with three hoppy releases out in quick succession. Delirious is a DDH Crisp Pale where the “crisp” is courtesy of a light malt base, Huell Melon and Enigma hops and the “DDH” is all about Citra and HBC630. The result is a delightful treat for the senses with vibrant white wine characteristics - think gooseberry and pear - fresh mango, melon and a lean dry finish. If a classic Kolsch and a modern hazy had a child, this is would be it.
Something Something Vic Secret is the second release in the brewery’s single hop DIPA series and saw the Dancing Hop (as it will now forever be known on these pages) added at two stages. There’s a massive amount of pineapple on the nose so don’t be too worried if you’re not sure if you’ve cracked a can of that over a beer. That follows through on the palate but is joined by a more pineapple and resinous side that balances out the fresh and distinct juiciness.
Tiki Juice meanwhile takes that juice to another level with the hazy IPA featuring large doses of Citra, Kohatu and Galaxy. Like a tropical breeze, those bring in sweet rockmelon, passionfruit and orange juice against wave after wave of lush textures.
