CoConspirators have never really been a brewery to shy away from making new beers but with their Brunswick home now about six months into its life, they’ve certainly hit a stride. Hype Man is a fanfare-driving hazy pale ale set to get the hoppy party started with Simcoe, Azacca and Idaho 7. It’s a combination that packs a punchy mix of lemon peel, further citrus in the shape of tangerine, with a tropical finish of pineapple and with the pale being quite light on the palate, he’s the kind of Hype Man you could easily see the night through with.
Home Delivered Hazy IPA is part of the CoConspirators Brewpub series and a collaboration with Hops To Home that carries a mix of Galaxy, Sabro and Citra hops. The blend also provides quite a hit of citrus that sits somewhere between lime and mandarin while the package also pumps out a lot of pine and tropical fruit in the shape of passionfruit and mango.
Speaking of the Brewpub Series, fresh in time for winter is Olmo’s Silky Smooth Stout, named after the man who brewed it, Olmo Maud. With oatmeal at play in the mix of malts, Silky Smooth is a perfectly fitting name given the beer’s quite velvety texture, while flavour-wise the stout is heavy on rich dark chocolate, espresso and roasted malt.
