Of all the fruits, peaches unmistakably most closely resemble a human butt. Such is the likeness that when used as an emoji, it’s almost always there to represent butts, which is why you might wonder why Dainton would release a beer that features a group of butts protesting. It’s not butts, however, with Free S’Peach instead a salted peach sour. So, why are those peaches protesting? Well it's probably best not to look too deeply into that and instead remember the brewery's longstanding love for puns.
Brewed ahead of spring but ready to welcome the warm weather, Free S'Peach is a beer absolutely awash with fresh stone fruit flavours that, along with its tartness, brings proceedings close to biting into an underripe peach. The building tartness is joined by an undercurrent of salinity, which has a slightly drying effect in what's otherwise a rather smooth and soft ride, aided by the beer's dose of lactose.
