Given the outrageous success they enjoyed with the first Counter Culture beer, Killer Kween, it's easy to see why Stone & Wood would return to such a place later in the series. Where the former was a big, rosé like, raspberry Berliner Weisse, here they've homed in on summery bubbles in the shape of a beery spin on a Brut Rosé, one delivered in quite delightful Art Deco inspired tallboy tinnies.

In attempting to reach their end goal, the brewers laid their hands on a few non-traditional beer ingredients: chardonnay juice, souring lactobacillus, fresh strawberries and a champagne yeast, as used in many Brut IPAs to achieve a drier, leaner finish.

There's a hint of peachy blush to the colour, while it's a soft combo of sour and strawberries that lead the way aroma wise, with the chardonnay juice lying low in the background. It's sweeter than a glass of actual rosé bubbles, fuller in body too, while the grape juice adds another layer and more texture behind those fresh berries.
