They make little secret of their love for Aussie hop Galaxy at Smiling Samoyed. So when the hop harvest in Tasmania rolled around in 2015 they secured some fresh hops straight from Hop Products Australia to go into a one-off hop harvest brew. The hops were picked, shipped overnight and added to the brew the next day.
The beer has a slightly leaner malt base than the nearest beer to it in the brewery's lineup, 12 Paws, with the Galaxy adding some passionfruit and orange to the biscuit sweetness as well as a touch of resinous bitterness.
