Modus Operandi MOFOS Saison

What’s up with this mofo? It’s the Modus Operandi Funky Orange Saison, of course. Along with the seasonal Pepper in the Rye, this was one of the brewery’s two original saisons and is the smaller of the two, thereby given the delicate title of ‘petite saison’. And that’s quite apt for a beer which is just 4.2 percent abv and designed to be a refreshing, yet flavourful, session ale. As something of a gentle introduction into the interesting world of the Belgian/French style beer, MOFOS has a citrusy, zesty aroma courtesy of fresh orange peel working in conjunction with the saison yeast’s natural character.
